Located in the heart of the Sicily Channel, Pantelleria is closer to the African coast than to the coast of Trapani.

Despite this, thanks to the island’s airport and maritime connections, it is easily accessible during the summer.

But how do you get to Pantelleria?

The main connections are operated by the Danish airline DAT, which provides daily flights from Palermo, Trapani, and Catania. It is therefore easy to land at one of the Sicilian hubs and then take a connecting flight to Pantelleria.

There are also airlines offering direct flights from major Italian cities.

The operating airlines are:

  • Ita Arways from Rome from July 4 to August 6, and from Milan Linate from early July to the end of August;;

  • Volotea:

    • Bologna and Verona: May and June every Saturday; July, August, and September on Saturdays and Sundays

    • Bergamo and Venice: from May 30 to October 6, every Saturday

  • Hello Fly: direct flights from Perugia, every Saturday from June 6 to September 28.

For those who wish to travel with their own car, it is possible to book a ferry from Trapani on the Siremar website.

From June 1, the hydrofoil service by Liberty Lines will also be active, with daily departures from Trapani. This year, the service will run until October 31. Timetables remain unchanged: departure from Trapani at 13:30 and from Pantelleria at 16:00.
