The first edition of the workshop last year saw the creation of dreamcatchers by the very talented participants who, in just four days, mastered a technique that requires manual dexterity, patience and, above all, imagination and a desire to play. The photos here are just those of the collected objects and dreamcatchers made by the participants.
After last year’s success, we therefore invite you to come and play with us in the beautiful setting of Pantelleria, certain that you too will feel like attaching yourself to a thread and letting the wind carry you to the sea.
June 8: Arrival on the island during the day, check-in at the houses. Evening welcome drink at Ariane’s house.
June 9: morning free for excursion and search for items to use for the workshop and to make your own dream catcher; materials however will be supplemented by the organization that will provide everything needed to build a dream catcher.
At 5 p.m. Theory meeting at the Dammuso: “How a dreamcatcher is structured, the materials and assembling them. Balancing technique.”
Free dinner.
June 10: Free morning to discover the island and integrate the collected materials.
From 5 p.m. Practical exercise: “Assembling threads, how to knot and fix objects.”
Dinner at Ariane’s house with Pantelleria cuisine.
June 11:from 11:00 am practical exercise: “Assembling dreamcatchers, one for each participant.”
From 18:00 mountain walk accompanied by Mario to discover the other side of Pantelleria.
Free dinner.
June 12: From 11:00 a.m. Sicilian cooking class: cassata salata.
From 5 p.m. completion of cassata and any final touches for dream catchers.
In the evening presentation of the work and concluding dinner of the workshop.
June 13: Free day. A boat excursion is recommended if weather permits.
June 14: Last day. Check-out and return.
One day during the week

to a Sicilian cooking class
The workshop is organized and hosted by Le case del Principe, historic dammusi on the island lovingly cared for by the hostess, Ariane, and will be an opportunity to meet, chat and serenity
Pantelleria is an unpredictable island. The program may be subject to change, which will be communicated in time.
The workshop costs €650 per person.
For minimum 2, maximum 14 participants.
Confirmation of participation is required by May 15.

HOW TO ARRIVE
Pantelleria is easily reached by ferry or hydrofoil from Trapani or by plane from Palermo, Trapani and Catania (Danish Air Transport).
In mid and high season also from other Italian cities including Rome, Milan, Venice, Bergamo, Perugia, Catania with flights from multiple airlines such as Volotea, ITA Airways, Goto-fly.

Ariane Sallier de La Tour, the lady of the house. She welcomes guests with the same simplicity inherited from her parents. She loves to spend evenings watching the sea from her terrace lulled by the rhythm of the Punta Spadillo lighthouse.
Viviana Randazzo. Today a lawyer, but with a dreamer’s nature. She has known Ariane forever and has shared many adventures with her. In love with the island of Pantelleria that allows her to free her soul and dream.
Mario Valenza, Pantesco in soul and heart. He loves walking around the island with his camera in his hands to capture through faces and places the essence of the wind and the island.
Each participant will be invited to search for fragments of the island – of the sea, of the sun, of the wind – to reassemble into their own aerial mosaic of dreams to be entrusted to the air: shells, glass, wood, feathers “as light as the wind and as beautiful as the sea.”
One will set out to rediscover the sense of lightness, the meaning of small objects and things abandoned by the sea, the art of balance.
Pantelleria is an island that crosses millennial routes and destinies of women and men who have lost and then found their way.
Pantelleria is the island of the wind, a place where thoughts are abandoned to find meaning again.
And it is precisely from this need
to “let go in order to then find again”
that the idea of this creative workshop begins
